Held a meeting of coordinating Council for training activities FIFA 2017-2018 in Russia

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko has held a December 22 meeting of the coordination Council on preparation 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ and FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 in the Russian Federation.

The meeting was held in the course of conference calls modes of communication Situational centre of the Government House of the Russian Federation with regions of the country. In the Situation room of the Smolny participants selector became Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Igor Albin, Chairman of the Committee for construction Sergey Morozov, Chairman of the Committee on development of transport infrastructure of St.-Petersburg Sergey Harlashkin, first Deputy Chairman of the Committee on transport Elena Osintseva, representatives of other relevant Executive authorities of the city.

Opening the agenda, Vitaly Mutko accented that the project of 2018 FIFA World Cup should make full use of in order to invest in infrastructure, improve the quality of life in the regions, to show the modern Russia, and for the development of football and sports.

In connection with the approaching time of the football events (up to the FIFA Confederations Cup remained 177 days) the Coordinating Council several reformat its work, its membership will include all heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, hosting the FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be specified provisions in regional organizing committees, consisting of representatives of the “Russia-2018” Local Organizing Committee (LOC).

At the meeting were representatives of Federal agencies and LOC, the reports of the regions.

Vice-Governor Igor Albin reported the coordinating Council that construction work at the stadium in St Petersburg will end on 26 December and presented the progress of the commissioning works of engineering systems, preparation of sites for temporary structures. He noted that the city has no concerns that the functional readiness of the stadium on Krestovsky island will be achieved in the required timeframe. Special attention was paid to ensure the security perimeter of the stadium in accordance with the requirements approved by the RF Government.

Vice-Governor noted that the constructors will make up for the gap on the Nevsko-Vasileostrovskaya metro line (the continuation of a branch from station "Primorskaya" to the station "Ul. Savushkina"). In accordance with the concluded state contract the completion of work provided by February 28, 2018, the tunnel will end on 30 June 2017.

Igor Albin assured that St. Petersburg will fulfill all its obligations for the preparation and holding of events FIFA in 2017-2018.
