In St. Petersburg celebrated the international volunteer day

December 5 - International Volunteer Day

In 1985, the UN General Assembly suggested that the official date of the celebration of volunteer Day – 5 December – and urged States to implement measures to raise awareness about the important contribution of volunteer service and thereby encourage more people in all fields to offer their services as volunteers.

Saint Petersburg has not remained aloof and in honor of all the helpers, at noon, the activists of the Volunteer center of the world Cup FIFA 2018 in Russia have launched a very good volunteer tradition. Volunteers as a sign of respect and greetings to each other has launched a social media "five good" (the symbolic gesture of the open palm, which is common in volunteer environment), calling on people doing good, and to pass "five" to his friends, volunteers all over Russia and in other countries.
