– I really like this city and I really like what I have seen from the stage at the FIFA Fan Festival™ - says the star striker. - Look, the fans are happy, they communicate with each other, get acquainted. People from different countries get together and are on the same wave, it's just fantastic.
– Is this your first time in St. Petersburg? It seems that you did not come here during European competitions.
– Yes, and I enjoy this visit. There are many beautiful places and good restaurants (laughs). It is very good.
– And from the “football” point of view, do you enjoy the event?
– Well, let's just say, the first game was not very good, we lost to Croatia. The second game ended with the right result and now we have a big game with Argentina. I am convinced that we will go further.
– You regularly realized the moments, being an attacker. Do you think the Russian team has a chance to go further in the home tournament? What advice would you give to the Russian strikers?
– They must use their chances. In football, it's always simple - if you are an attacker, and you have the opportunity to score, then you need to use this opportunity. Just because you do not know what will happen next. It seems to me that Russia has a good team now. Yes, against Uruguay, not everything turned out well. However, in football you can never look into the past, you need to think about the future.
– But this is a home tournament. How to stay calm in such a situation? Especially at the main stadium of the country and the FIFA World Cup™.
– I can only say about myself, about my concentration methods, which help to give all myself in the game. Before the game, I listen to music, and when I go out on the field and see the green grass, it “absorbs” me, my whole life is a field, it's a game.
– You came to the FIFA Fan Festival in St. Petersburg in the colors of the main local club that is very popular in the country – FC “Zenit”.
– Yes, yes, I did it on purpose (smiles). I know about “Zenit” and how it plays. And I'm in the hometown of this club, so why not stress it?
