Cameroon complete Russia 2017 line-up
All the teams participating in the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 is finally determined! The last ticket to Russia got the national team of Cameroon. It was the Cameroonians were winners of the African Cup of Nations 2017 in Gabon, winning in the finals against Egypt with the score 2:1.
The victory of Cameroon has brought exact blow Vincent Abubakar in the 89th minute; before that, the teams exchanged goals - Egyptian Alani opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, but the Cameroonian Nkulu equalized in the 60th.
Cameroon has acceded to seven teams previously to ensure participation in the "tournament of Champions" which will be held in Saint-Petersburg, Kazan, Moscow and Sochi from June 17-July 2, 2017: Australia (winner of the Asian Cup), Chile (winner of the America's Cup), Mexico (Gold Cup of CONCACAF), New Zealand (winner of the Nations Cup OFC), Portugal (winner UEFA EURO 2016) Germany (reigning world champion) and Russia (the host nation). These teams had the honor to determine the strongest in the country, where in 2018 will host the next FIFA world Cup.
Cameroon will play in group B with Chile, Australia and Germany, and in the first match, the Africans will face the national team of Chile: this match will be held in Moscow at the "Spartak Stadium" on 18 June. Then Cameroonians will travel to St. Petersburg, where they will play Australia on June 22 and the match against the world Champions Germans will take place on 25 June in Sochi. In group A will play the teams of Russia, Portugal, Mexico and New Zealand.
Cameroon will try to become the first African team that won the FIFA Confederations Cup. Only one team previously won this tournament, will go to Russia – Mexico became the champion in 1999.
