Pavel Belov and Gennady Orlov will participate in the solemn ceremony of special franking of stamps under stamp program to the world Cup FIFA 2018, and is dedicated to the legends of the national football

The postage stamps depict athletes who have achieved the highest accolades and the glory of domestic football on an international level

December 13, at 15.00 PM in the Olympic hall of the Committee for physical culture and sports of St. Petersburg (Millionnaya street, 22, second floor) will take place solemn ceremony of special franking of postage stamps dedicated to the legends of Russian football. Stamps released as part of the philatelic programme for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

The ceremony will be attended by the Chairman of the Committee for physical culture and sports of St. Petersburg Pavel Belov, the Director of the office of the Federal postal service of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region Vitaly Dyrdasov and Ambassador of the Host City Saint Petersburg, the famous Russian sports TV commentator Gennady Orlov.

The postage stamps depict athletes who have achieved the highest accolades and the glory of domestic football at the international level:

Banishevski, Anatoli A. (1946-1997) – the striker, the coach. World championship 1966 silver medalist of the European championship in 1972;

Voronin Valery Ivanovich (1939-1984) – midfielder, captain of the USSR team. The participant of the world cups of 1962 and 1966, the silver medalist of the European Cup in 1964. At the world Cup 1962 was included in the symbolic team of the world;

Ilyin Anatoly Mikhailovich (1931-2016) – the striker, the coach. Member of the world Cup 1958, the Olympic champion of 1956, the Author of the first goal in the history of the Cup and the European Championships (in 1/8 finals of the Cup of Europe 1960);

Rudakov Yevgeny Vasilyevich (1942-2011) – goalie coach. Silver medalist of the European championship in 1972, won the bronze medal at the Games of the XX Olympiad 1972;

Sadyrin Pavel Fedorovich (1942-2001) – midfielder head coach of Russian national team 1992-1994 Under his leadership, the team participated in the world championship of 1994;

Chislenko Igor Leonidovich (1939-1994) – striker. The participant of the world cups of 1962 and 1966, the silver medalist of the Cup of Europe 1964;

Shesternev albert A. (1941-1994) – defender, captain of the USSR national team, coach. The participant of the world cups 1962, 1966 and 1970, the silver medalist of the European Cup in 1964.

Note that the solemn ceremony dedicated to the world football day (10 December). Exactly a year ago in the Olympic hall of the Committee for physical culture and sports of St. Petersburg took place the first ceremony of the special franking of stamps "legends of Ukrainian football". It was attended by people's artist of Russia, Ambassador of the football world Cup in Saint-Petersburg Vasily Gerello. In the current action of the famous sports newscaster Gennady Orlov's first appearance as Ambassador of the football world Cup in Saint-Petersburg.
