Football lessons are aimed at promoting football and active lifestyles among Russian youngsters and tell a wide audience about the forthcoming World Cup-2018.
In St. Petersburg, the "Football Lesson" was held in the city's Palace of Young Creativity, located on the territory of the famous Anichkov Palace (Theater and Concert Complex "Carnival").
The lesson in the Northern capital was prepared by ANO "Organizing Committee" Russia-2018 " in in collaboration with the International Football Federation (FIFA) with the support of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sport of St. Petersburg, the Education Committee and the Volunteer Center of the 2018 World Cup in St. Petersburg.
The honorary guests of the lesson "Welcome the World Cup-2018" were the Chairman of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sport of St. Petersburg Pavel Belov, Deputy Chairman of the Education Committee Andrei Borshchevsky and the Ambassadors of St. Petersburg - the host city of the FIFA World Cup 2018 - People's Artist of Russia , the Mariinsky Theater soloist Vasily Gerello and the vice-president of the Russian Football Union, the president of the Football Federation of St.Petersburg Anatoly Turchak.
"Exactly in a month our city will plunge into the atmosphere of the main football event of every four years," Pavel Belov said in his address to the schoolchildren of the Northern capital. – “I would like to thank the colleagues from the Committee on Education, with whom we are holding the "Football lesson".
