The "football" tram on Savushkin Street was in demand by the spectators of the Russia - Egypt match

St. Petersburg residents and guests of the city, during the Russia-Egypt match, could take trams No.No. 19, 48 and 48A to get to the stadium "St. Petersburg" and after the game to the metro station "Chernaya Rechka" and "Staraya Derevnya"

The tram service on the routes was intensified so that the interval between the cars was 3 minutes, and the trams themselves worked until 2 am. After the match, 55 runs were completed. In addition, special attention and professional skills were required from drivers of omnibuses in the city center and on Nevsky Prospekt, where the fans went to celebrate the victory.

Trams on Savushkin Street were in demand by the spectators of the Russia-Egypt match, including foreign fans. So the ticket collectors needed the knowledge of the English language, which they had been taught before the World Championship in special courses at the “Gorelectrotrans”. "Train brigades" (as drivers and conductors, who meet the spectators of the Championship are called), noted the friendly atmosphere in transport and the joyful spirit of the fans.

After the emotional game of the Russian and Egyptian national teams at the stadium "St. Petersburg", many spectators walked along the Yakhtenny Bridge to Yakhtennaya Street, where one could immediately get on the tram.

Tram routes No.No. 19, 48 and 48A are convenient for those who need to reach the second (blue), and the fifth (purple) lines. While in the immediate vicinity of the stadium there are the metro stations of the third (green) line.
